In terms of Minimum Requirements laid down when a site is permitted, all landfill operations must be regularly monitored and audited to verify that legislated standards and conditions are fully complied with.
Initially the monitoring ensures that the site design is properly implemented and thereafter functions as a control measure to ensure that operational standards are maintained. It serves as an early warning system, ensuring that any problems that arise are identified and rectified timeously and as a performance indicator for the landfill operator to utilise as a mangement tool.
Enviro-Fill undertakes audits of its' own facilities, and is also called upon to utilise its' expertise in outside situations. An audit checks and verifies all aspects of site operation from road access and security to waste deposition, compaction and covering. Records and documentation such as weighbridge control information are appraised to ensure full compliance.
