Landfill Remediation
It is accepted that over 70% of operational landfill sites in South Africa do not comply with minimum operational standards as defined in their permit conditions.
Poor, or non-existent leachate management systems are resulting in the pollution of ground water supplies, while unsanitary dumping practices have led to problems with vermin, flies and odours affecting the local populations.
Enviro-Fill is being increasingly called upon to remediate such sites which have been declared innefective and dangerous.
