Enviro-Fill is committed to the principle of waste reutilisation as a fundamental part of its' operating philosophy. Any materials diverted from landfill save valuable air-space within the body of the site, thus extending its' operational life.
The recovery of these materials can also generate local community based business opportunities.
Enviro-Fill works in partnership with local enterprises to maximise potential value from a wide range of materials brought to itsí sites for disposal. Informal co-operatives are given the opportunity to collect, sort and market these materials for their own benefit.
Under company supervision, paper and cardboard, plastics, glass and metals are efficiently redirected for processing and eventual reutilisation.
Many tonnes of organic waste in the form of garden greens discarded by the public and by commercial garden service companies are chipped on-site.
The resultant material is then processed to produce a quality compost, all of which is used to maintain and beautify the sites. Large volumes of the composted material are also used to help re-vegetate sections of the landfill site once they have been fully utilised and capped ready for rehabilitation.
